Kael + Jes // Stunning Iceland Elopement

The-Rowlands-92.jpg

In the chaos of wedding season madness it's taken us a while to find the time to actually organize ourselves enough to create new blogposts... BUT we're finally getting this surreal experience up and out there so all of you can ooh and ahh over Jes and Kael as much as we have. Looking through these images again is giving us some major wanderlust and making us freaking excited that we'll have nonstop flights from St. Louis to Reykjavik this Spring! (Praise hands!!!) Shooting in super cool locations is absolutely rad but getting to do it with people as kind and genuine as these two just makes us wanna do a happy dance all of our days.

We started the day off at the Foss Hotel in Nupar. (If you ever go to Iceland the Foss Hotels are where it's at, yall!) We were planning on going somewhere for Jes and Kael's first look but when we looked out their hotel room window that seemed silly... you'll see why. Next we made our way to Fjaðrárgljúfur (the most stunning moss covered canyon you've ever seen) where they committed their love and lives to one another. So incredibly special to share that moment with them amidst such epic beauty. After that we literally spent the rest of the day chasing light and surreal landscapes, from seaside cliffs and black sand beaches to majestic waterfalls and emerald green mountains. We wish we could live this day a thousand more times... it was so so perfect.

Here's the name of the locations if you're planning a trip:

Foss Hotel Nupar

Fjaðrárgljúfur

Reynisfjara Beach

Dyrhólaey

Skogafoss

Seljalandsfoss

Jes + Kael // Iceland Adventure Engagement Session

We just got off of a video chat with another rad couple eloping in Iceland and now we're feeling all nostalgic about our time in this magic-land with Jes and Kael so we figured it's a perfect opportunity to blast the inter-webs with round 1 of these hot, gorgeous babes and our perfect night together before their wedding day. You just can't properly do Iceland without a visit to Jokulsarlon. And we wanted to try something new this trip so we ventured all the way out to Stokksnes Beach. (What's not pictured is our late night dinner at this amazing lobster place in the tiny little town of Hofn, me (Charis) having the best wine I've ever tasted, us falling in love with these two, and then Kael and Jes fearing for their lives as they drove through wind and rain on pitch black roads for 2 hours back to their hotel. Iceland isn't for the faint of heart, people. But it definitely is for the lovers. More from their wedding day coming soonish!!
