There's just no excuse for how long it's taken me to post this session. Go ahead and just ignore the Christmas decorations (face-palm). HAD to share this one, though, because if you haven't been to Knead Bakehouse yet you have to go!! Not only is their food the yummiest, the owners are the sweetest pair you'd ever hope to meet. :) Plus we're all about supporting local small business.
Engagement sessions are just... mmmmmmm!! It's so nice getting to hang with our couples in a no-stress environment and to get in a little "practice" working together before the big day.
St. Louis photogs, if you've never shot at Busch Wildlife in Defiance, DO IT!! It's one of our absolute favorite nature spots in MO. The evergreen grove toward the back makes you feel like you're in the mountains somewhere completely non-midwest. And there are all of these old bunkers that have a bit of an urban feel. Seriously, check it out.

We spent a lovely evening with these two, wandering around Patrick's family's farm. We love getting to explore and shoot in new places. I (Charis) used to always do a ton of location scouting ahead of time and it made me really nervous if I had to shoot somewhere with out seeing it in advance. But I'm starting to love the challenge of finding the right light, the right framing, and the right textures on the spot. And of course, getting to hang with Elizabeth and Patrick was a total bonus. We're so looking forward to their wedding in a few weeks!!
