Phil + Meagan // Intimate Wedding in Church Ruins

Just about thirty minutes outside of St. Louis lies this little slice of heaven called Salem Baum Church in Waterloo, IL. When I first saw an instagram photo of these beautiful ruins I was obsessed and couldn’t wait to explore it. This is now our second wedding we’ve had the privilege of shooting here and we still can’t get over what an incredibly unique venue it is. The abandoned church dates all the way back to 1883… 100 years before I was born! And the charm of this roofless stone building flooded with natural light is pretty much unparalleled here in the midwest. This particular wedding day was dark and stormy with some rain off and on. But it only added to the haunting moodiness of the place. Phil and Meagan were so laid back and just rolled with it. Our kind of people. ;) If you’re looking for something a little different for your wedding add Salem Baum to your list!

Chad + Jenn // Botanical Art Deco Wedding at the Jewel Box Forest Park

After our epic adventure with Jenn and Chad in the Arizona desert, we knew their wedding day would be one for the books. Oh, was it. Every little detail was bursting with botanical beauty and fresh Art Deco accents. There was no shortage of inspiration or eye candy, especially the bride and groom, themselves. We loved finally getting to shoot a wedding inside the acclaimed Jewel Box in Forest Park. But most of all, we just truly enjoyed spending the day celebrating these two lovely people.
