Jordan + Rachael // Intimate Elopement in the Redwood Forest

Words don't really do justice to how special this day was and to how honored we felt to be a part of it. So I think I'll just let the photos speak for themselves. I really did try to narrow down to my favorites but when you're dealing with the Northern California coastline and the majesty of Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park it's a tall order.

Check out the highlight video for even more gorgeousness...

A couple of weeks later we had the pleasure of capturing Rachael + Jordan's reception back home in St. Louis. Talk about the best of both worlds. Have I mentioned how much we LOVE shooting at Jefferson Underground!?

Chris + Katherine // Elopement in Lafayette Square Park

It was just the five of us; this sweet couple, the officiant, a dear friend, and myself. (I even got to be one of the witnesses on the marriage license!) I feel so honored to have had the privilege to witness and document these two commit their lives to one another in this special, intimate way. Katherine and Chris began planning a wedding when Katherine suddenly presented with some health complications. They decided they wanted to just be married already so they opted to elope on a Tuesday afternoon in Lafayette Square Park. I truly can't think of anything more perfect.

Iceland Elopement // Styled Editorial Shoot // Destination Wedding Photography

Well if this doesn't make you want to elope... what is wrong with you??? ;)

Huge, HUGE thank you to Jillian with Wear Your Love for entrusting us with one of her dresses to traipse around Iceland. I LOVE how this collaboration turned out! Also a HUGE thank you to our friends Kaleb and Ashley for going along with this crazy idea and being perfect models... and just for being awesome friends and travel buddies.

From the black sand beaches and basalt rock formations at Vik to the epic Skogafoss waterfall, these were some of the most mind-blowing landscapes I've ever witnessed. Our creator is a genius. I feel incredibly blessed to have seen these things with my own eyes and I long for the day I can go back.
