Romantic Engagement Photos - St. Louis Wedding Photography

I'm not sure how it always happens this way but my clients are drop. dead. gorgeous. Look at these two! They belong on magazine covers, I tell you. I adore them and I thoroughly enjoyed strolling down memory lane with them. We started at the Boathouse in Forest Park where Joey proposed to Rachel. Then we headed to Laclede's Landing and to Morgan Street Brewery where they first met. Aww. And we found two of my very most favorite things… soft, buttery, sunset light and dark, moody, window light. Yes!

Their wedding is going to be AMAZING! Cannot wait!!!

Fall Engagement Photos - St. Louis Modern Wedding Photographer

I think probably the biggest perk of doing what I do is meeting and becoming friends with really rad couples. Having a personal connection with my clients is so important to me. I feel like I wouldn't be able to do justice to telling their love stories without it. Plus it's just more fun that way. ;)

Lacy and Gabe are one of those rad couples. Their engagement session was so. much. fun. We started at their home in South City to grab a few "family" photos with their pup and then headed down the street to Tower Grove Park. Somehow we managed to luck out with the most insanely beautiful evening after days and days of rain. We finished the session at the Rooftop Terrace Bar at the Moonrise Hotel in the loop. If you've never been you have to go. It's awesome! So awesome that when they offered to buy drinks I took them up on it. ;) I told you they were rad. It was such a perfect evening and I am soooooo looking forward to their wedding next year!

St. Louis Wedding Photographer - Laura and Matt Engaged

This was such a fun laid back engagement session.  I love the Central West End and Matt and Laura were the perfect couple to shoot there.  Aren't they so classy and just downright beautiful?  Laura liked the idea of doing some coffee shop photos and we totally lucked out with the lovely Spring flowers lining the windows.  So perfect with her red dress!  We lucked out with the weather too!  It threatened to storm all day but right as we were about to start shooting the sky cleared up and the sun came out.  Glory!  With the late Spring we've had I was worried about Forest Park not being all that green yet but we managed to find some gorgeous blooming trees and super cool bridges.  To finish things off we decided to get some nighttime shots.  These are always so tricky because of the light, or lack thereof, but they were oh so well worth it.  I LOVE how they turned out.  There's so much drama with the moody sky and the city lights.  And now I have their wedding to look forward to!
