It felt so right getting to document this incredibly special season for Drew and Emily after being there to capture their engagement and marriage. We've come to love these two precious people like family so we are counting down the days and giddy with excitement to meet their little man. Also, holy cow, it's been hot here in the midwest!! It was the perfect excuse for a sunrise session, though!
We spent a lovely evening with these two, wandering around Patrick's family's farm. We love getting to explore and shoot in new places. I (Charis) used to always do a ton of location scouting ahead of time and it made me really nervous if I had to shoot somewhere with out seeing it in advance. But I'm starting to love the challenge of finding the right light, the right framing, and the right textures on the spot. And of course, getting to hang with Elizabeth and Patrick was a total bonus. We're so looking forward to their wedding in a few weeks!!
I (Charis) think I found my new favorite shooting location in St. Louis. Holy cow, the climatron at MoBot was like stepping into a tropical fairyland. I had been wanting to try a session there FOREVER but I'm so glad it ended up being with Adrianne and Wes!! I never ever tire of capturing the connection between two people. And that black dress was just the icing on the cake... or maybe the fire on the candles on top of the cake. SO SUPER HOT!!
